Bog mats, also known as crane mats are an ideal ground protection solution for creating long or medium term temporary access roads or trackways onto site by limiting the impact on the environment.

Bog mats are used to spread heavy imposed loading, minimising surface damage, increasing stability and protecting sub-surface utility services. They can be laid down until the project is complete, and then uplifted and reused.

The thickness of the bog mat can be increased to carry up to 80 tons on reasonably flat ground. All timber is sourced from sustainable and responsible sources.

Imco Timber can also offer timber bearers and pipeline cradles from sustainable timber sources in Europe.

These can be manufactured to order using modern sawmills and shipped worldwide. Usually softwood such as pine or spruce is used. For heavy duty requirements, oak and other species are also available.

We can literally offer any size from 12mm thick until 300mm thickness, lengths from 0.6meter up to 15 metre in softwood species. FSC or PEFC certification is also available on most products.
